A Complete “Titanic: Adventure Out of Time” Part Six   Leave a comment

Part Six starts with Carlson heading from the Burns’ cabin to the Turkish Baths, as per Mr. Trask’s instructions from before. What he is supposed to find, he does not know. Meeting Daisy along the way, he explores the Turkish Baths then moves into the room with the Electric Bath. After exhausting nearly all of his options, he turns on the water faucet, steaming up the room. He looks at the mirror on the far end of the room to read a secret message from Zeitel to someone named Sasha. Perhaps the Sasha Lady Georgia was talking about. The message reveals that the Rubaiyat is in a Boiler Room and sets off to fetch it, finding Reverend Troutt again and meeting with Mr. Andrew Conkling on his way to find directions to the Boiler Rooms from the Lift Attendant.

Titanic Movie Trailer for the Sims 2   Leave a comment

Many years ago, my friends and I had a Titanic-themed costume party. Over the years it has developed into what we called “Titanic Movie.” I have filmed with the Sims 2 a trailer for the movie using audio from the major Titanic films up to the most recent miniseries. It combines a wide variety of characters and lines together to form the trailer. Generally speaking, it is an amalgamation of all the Titanic pop-culture we are exposed to (at least the classy stuff). It serves to commemorate the 100 years of Titanic entertainment we have been privileged to witness.

For this video I used audio (and you could say this movie would contain plot-lines) from both Titanic miniseries-es, the 1997 blockbuster Titanic, the 1953 film Titanic, the Nazi propaganda film Titanic, A Night to Remember, S.O.S. Titanic, the game Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, the musical, and the film Britannic. The CGI of the Titanic sailing and sinking are from Titanic: Anatomy of a Disaster and Titanic: Adventure Out of Time.

Please enjoy!

My Latest Titanic Project – Part Three   Leave a comment

The One Hundredth anniversary of the maiden voyage of the Titanic has come and gone and I am certain that thousands and millions of people honored it in their own special way.  I, for one, did a little door decorating to commemorate the event.  I smattered my door with photos and quotes, documenting Titanic’s story from conception to the modern day.  Have a look!

Note: Not all of the pictures are of the greatest quality, and for that I apologize.

My Latest Titanic Project – Part Two   Leave a comment

In time for the end of April 10th, a big day for us, I have the [nearly] completed door covering  project.  My idea to keep it confined to the door did not work as I had to many iconic images and quotes which I felt were necessary.  Between now and the end of the 15th I intend to polish it off and tidy it a bit.  I tried to be as comprehensive as I could with the content.  It is meant to show iconic scenes from the lifetime of the Titanic and use quotes, both long and short) to describe something I feel is important or interesting regarding the ship, a particular person’s story, or something else.  It contains actual photos, postcards, scenes from movies and more.  All of the quotes are authentic from testimonies, letters, etc.  I will post detail shots (like the one of Andrews) of all of the pictures and sections for posts in the next couple of days.

Titanic 3D: My First and Second Time   Leave a comment

I know I have a lot of projects to keep posting about before the next two weeks are over. Before I finish up on those, I thought I’d make mention that I went to see Titanic 3D. I still think 3D is a bit of a gimmick, but by golly they got it work pretty well for Titanic, I think. It’s a nice, subtle sort of 3D. It isn’t that 3D that jumps out and you and gives you a headache. Some things to almost look like they might come out and get you, but not give you a headache. The 3D works very well for the big-scale shots of the ship. The sinking is very nice in 3D. Cameron also took the time to fix a few of the errors that had been bothering us for years…a solid buff colored funnel falling, crinkling capstans, etc. I have gone once again since the Wednesday it opened, and later this week when I am not busy watching the National Geographic special that was just on the television, I would give a more in-depth report. In the meantime, please enjoy this remake of an “unused trailer” from 1997 which I have recreated and pieced together. Enjoy and I will post back soon!

My Latest Titanic Project

About a month ago, I started a little project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sailing and sinking of our favorite passenger liner. I took an extended break from it as I got busy and now that the anniversary is fast approaching, I am working hard to finish it up. The project is to cover my college dorm room door (and recently the frame around it), with various Titanic pictures to showcase different events, people, and themes of Titanic’s lifetime. Some of the pictures are supplemented with quotes. Over the next few days as more pictures go up, I plan to document the images used and explain their significance, as each image has a very meaningful one. Check back often as I update and upload!
